Evidence of IoT Smart Systems for Water Monitoring

A study in Indonesia tested a smart water monitoring system that used sensors to generate water quality data. All data was sent to a cloud service and then displayed on an Android smartphone. The system’s accuracy for pH and turbidity was +99% and 93%, respectively.

A smart system prototype was also tested in Romania to examine drinking water. Temperature and total dissolved solids (TDS) were measured, in addition to pH and turbidity. The prototype successfully detected excessive TDS in certain drinking water sources.
