The EU Microbiological Criteria for Foodstuffs Regulation 2073/2005, stipulates that many foodstuffs must undergo valid microbiology testing while the Drinking Waters Directive 98/83/EC sets limits for microbiological parameters in drinking water. The microbiology laboratory in Southern Scientific Services Ltd., provides the appropriate analysis, monitoring, consultancy and training necessary to help the individual, food producer or food business operator to fulfil these obligations.
We perform a broad range of microbiological analysis on food (raw and cooked), water, effluents, soil, compost, sludges, environmental surfaces and a variety of other matrices, which are carried out to European Standards in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice systems. The microbiology team provides rigorous analysis so that our customers can bring their products to market, meeting requirements and protecting public health. Our expert scientists offer interpretation of results and consultation so that our customers can act appropriately for the benefit of their company. The laboratory is accredited to ISO 17025 (Reg no. 194T).
Sample Submission
