The Bord Bia Water Test is a service created by Southern Scientific Services to help food manufacturers comply with drinking water regulations for food production for the Bord Bia Quality Audit. Because bacteria can be seriously harmful to humans if consumed above drinking water limits, Bord Bia requires that food producers of any kind ensure that “Enterococci and E. coli be absent in 100ml and the test must have been conducted within the last 3 years” (Bord Bia).

If you use a private well as part of your dairy or food production, you’ll need evidence of a compliant water test for your Bord Bia audit. A missing or out-of-date water test is the second most common non-compliance issue among dairy farmers during Bord Bia inspections.

We provide the Bord Bia Water Test to meet Bord Bia’s water testing requirements for food production. Bord Bia specifies exactly which bacteriological parameters must be tested to confirm the water is of acceptable quality.
